School Hours
The seven hour instructional day begins at 8:00am and ends at 3:00pm. Students will gather in the lunchroom and gymnasium in the morning and remain there until 7:45am. In the afternoon, bus departure begins at 2:55pm. Walkers and riders are dismissed at 3:00pm. The remaining bus riders are then released at 3:05pm. They will remain in the cafeteria until time to board their bus.
Attendance
The school year is 180 days. A student who is absent must bring a written excuse signed by a parent or guardian to the office the morning the student returns to school. A student must be in attendance more than half of the school day to be marked as "present". Excused absences allow a student to make up work. Examples of excused absences are: illness, death in the family, religious holiday, or other unusual situations with office approval.
Tardiness
School begins at 8:00am. Students are considered tardy at 8:01am. Tardy students must stop by the office to sign in, give a reason for being late, and receive a pass to class. Students with excessive tardiness will be subject to disciplinary procedures. More than four tardies within a 20 day period is considered excessive.
