UNEXCUSED ABSENCES  

•  3  UNEXCUSED  ABSENCES  =  phone  call  from  Truancy  Officer  (if  no response or disconnect telephone number(s), home visit by Truancy officer)  

•  5  UNEXCUSED  ABSENCES  =  official  letter  from  school  Principal  

•  7  UNEXCUSED  ABSENCES  =  home  visit  by  Truancy  officer  

•  10  UNEXCUSED  ABSENCES  =  PETITION  to  juvenile  court  

 

UNEXCUSED TARDIES/EARLY DISMISSALS  

•  5 Unexcused tardies = phone call from Truancy officer  

•  10 Unexcused tardies = official letter from school Principal  

•  12 Unexcused tardies = home visit by Truancy Officer  

•  15 Unexcused tardies = petition to juvenile court  

 

MAKE-UP WORK (K-12)  

Excused/Unexcused  Absences  –  1  day  per  day  absent  to  make  up  work.  (100% grading scale)
